THE YOUTH SERVICE BUREAU HAS FIVE PROGRAMS STAFFED WITH SEASONED AND CREDENTIALED PROFESSIONALS.
The Youth Service Bureau provides services to more than 1,000 children and families each year.
Many of our programs are evidence-based, and can boast 80-90% success rate.
SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING uses evidenced-based practices to provide out-patient adolescent substance abuse treatment to youth residing in Florida Parishes. Services include group, family and individual therapy, and random drug testing.
COUNSELING CENTER is a walk-in counseling service that provides individual, group and family counseling for children, youth and their families.
Sliding scale fees are offered.
CRISIS INTERVENTION SERVICES is an in-home crisis intervention program designed to reduce the number of children removed from their families due to psychiatric hospitalization. The Crisis Interventionists work to defuse the crisis, so that a long-term plan may be developed to deal with the child’s mental health issues. Referrals are taken from all of the Florida Parishes.
MULTISYSTEMIC THERAPY (MST) is an evidence-based program which provides in-home and community-based family therapy services to Medicaid eligible adolescents who exhibit delinquent behaviors. MST is a well-researched treatment model which incorporates all of the adolescent’s significant individuals into the treatment plan. It is a 3-5 month program which receives referrals from all Florida Parishes.
PATHWAYS is an evidence-based, intensive home-based family therapy program, which works with families at risk of losing one or more children due to abuse or neglect, or to placement of a child in a corrections facility or a psychiatric hospital. Licensed therapists provide 4-6 weeks of intensive therapy and advocacy to referred families from all of the Florida Parishes.
